Our Thunder Mission
The Thunder’s mission is to develop quality citizens through the sport of baseball. Our Thunder players learn to be the best baseball players they can be on the field and learn how to “give back” off.
We strive to create a community we call ThunderNation by running organization wide events such as our preseason Thunder Welcome event at Roger Dean Stadium to organizational outings to loanDepot Park for a Marlins game to our annual Thundermania end of the season family kickball tournament.
Our mindset is “we are stronger together than we are apart” and encourage a connection between all teams throughout the organization.
Powered by the Miami Marlins
The Thunder is proud to be powered by the Miami Marlins Baseball is a sport with tremendous history, fantastic stories and memorable heroes. Our goal is to build life long fans of baseball and that starts with our home team, the Miami Marlins.
Our relationship with the Marlins has led to some amazing experiences for our players. Our teams have played on the field at loanDepot Park, players have thrown out the first pitch prior to a Marlins game, helped groundskeepers change the bases on the field in between innings of games and led the crowd along with Billy the Marlin in singing take me out to the ball game.
A Culture of Winning
Our goal is to be successful on the field. While winning isn’t everything, it is the byproduct of hard work, dedication, team work and commitment and therefore important. We want our Thunder players to be winners because quite frankly its harder to win than it is to lose. There’s complacency in losing and we never want the players in our program to ever give anything but their best on the field and in life.
